These rules are to provide peaceful and safe stay in Szalejowka.

REGULATIONS – SZALEJÓWKA & SZALKA

RESERVATION AND STAY TERMS

Reservation and Payments

  • Please read the regulations before making a reservation.

  • Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these regulations.

  • A 30% prepayment is required (minimum 600 PLN).

  • The prepayment must be paid within 24 hours of receiving confirmation of availability or making a booking via our website.

  • Bank transfer details:

  • No payment = cancellation of the reservation.

  • Prepayment is non-refundable. We recommend travel insurance with cancellation coverage.

  • The remaining amount must be paid by bank transfer 5 days before arrival or in cash on arrival (no card or BLIK).

  • No payment = cancellation of the reservation.

  • The guest is required to pay the full amount even in case of delayed arrival or shortened stay.

Deposit

  • A refundable deposit is required on arrival:
    – 500 PLN (regular dates)
    – 1000 PLN (long weekends, New Year’s Eve)

  • The deposit may be paid via transfer or in cash (same method as balance).

  • Key box code is sent after receiving the balance and deposit.

  • The deposit is refunded the next day, or within 3 business days after departure at the latest.

STAY RULES

Check-in / Check-out

  • Stay starts at 4:00 PM and ends at 10:00 AM.

  • Early arrival or late departure possible only after prior arrangement – tel. +48 507 612 301.

  • If not arranged and check-out is late, we charge for an additional day.

Pets

  • Dogs are welcome – fee: 200 PLN/stay. Please notify us during booking (not on arrival day).

  • If the dog sleeps on the bedding, cleaning costs are deducted from the deposit.

  • Pets must not be left alone in the house. Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their dog.

  • Please report any damage immediately – especially important when new guests arrive the same day.

  • Additional costs may apply if urgent repairs are needed.

  • Owners must clean up after their pets.

SAFETY AND USAGE RULES

Smoking and Devices

  • Smoking inside is strictly prohibited.

  • Smoking is only allowed outside (not on the wooden terrace in Szalka – only under the house).

  • Please use ashtrays.

  • It is forbidden to use:
    – electric heaters
    – irons
    – candles
    – other unauthorized devices

  • It is forbidden to bring e-bike batteries – fire hazard. Our insurance does not cover battery explosions.

  • Charging electric cars is not allowed – installation is not adapted for this.

Extra energy charge (for EV drivers):

  • Summer: 2 PLN / kWh above 5 kWh/day

  • Winter: 2 PLN / kWh above 10 kWh/day

Heating and Fireplace

  • Hybrid heating: convection + infrared (temperature 17–23°C).

  • Szalejówka also has a fireplace.

  • In sub-zero temperatures, fireplace use is required.

  • Only properly seasoned wood (min. 2 years) is allowed.
    – 1 wheelbarrow included per stay
    – Extra: 70 PLN / wheelbarrow

  • Do not burn wood from the forest or campfires – chimney inspection cost: 150 PLN.

  • Clean the fireplace glass with ash and damp paper towel. Instructions are in the house.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Please maintain cleanliness and use the house as intended.

Before departure, please:

  • Wash the dishes.

  • Take out the trash (bins are marked by the parking area).

  • Take all personal belongings.

Optional services:

  • Additional cleaning: 200 PLN

  • Towel exchange: 10 PLN/item

  • Bedding exchange: 20 PLN/set

CHILDREN AND SAFETY

  • Parents/guardians are fully responsible for children at all times.

  • Children must not be left unattended – this includes the playground and the pool.

  • The property is adjacent to forests and fields – wild animals or machinery may appear.

DAMAGES AND LIABILITY

  • Please report any damage or issues immediately.

  • Guests are financially responsible for any damage.

  • Costs are based on market rates or materials + labor.

  • Delay in reporting may increase the cost.

  • We recommend liability insurance (OC).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Free Wi-Fi in both houses.

  • Free parking.

  • The number of guests must match the reservation.
    – Additional person: 100 PLN/person/night

  • Lost keys = 150 PLN fee

Grill use:

  • Do not pour water on the grill!

  • Dispose of ashes after 12 hours into the black BIO bin (by the parking).

  • Please use aluminum trays.
