Modernisation of the “Szalka” Cottage – project co-financed by the European Union

We are pleased to inform you that we are implementing the project
“Development of business activity through the expansion and modernisation of the Szalka cottage”,
co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD)
under the Strategic Plan for the CAP 2023–2027.

Project scope: modernisation and development of a tourist facility in Szalejów Dolny
Project objective: improving the standard of services and expanding the local tourist offer in the Kłodzko Valley

The project is carried out in accordance with § 5 sec. 1 point 8 of the agreement, i.e. with full obligation to inform and disseminate data on assistance received from EAFRD, based on:

  • Annex III to Regulation 2022/129
  • Visual Identity Guide of the CAP 2023–2027

Investments implemented thanks to EU funding

Thanks to the support from the European Union, we are carrying out a number of investments at Szalejówka that increase guest comfort, introduce modern technologies and strengthen ecological initiatives. The scope of work includes, among others:

Cottage expansion

  • An additional bedroom with glass walls, accessible without using a ladder, providing more space and comfort for guests.

New multimedia and heating equipment

  • Pellet-stove fireplace
  • Multimedia projector with screen and soundbar

Land development and ecological actions

  • Creation of a wildflower meadow
  • Construction of an insect hotel
  • Installation of a small water retention system supporting the protection of the local ecosystem

Energy and renewable technologies

  • Purchase of an energy storage system for the existing photovoltaic installation, increasing the efficiency of renewable energy use.

Kitchen improvements

  • Additional kitchen equipment, including a dishwasher, enhancing comfort and reducing water consumption.

Ecological education

  • Installation of educational boards on ecology, raising environmental awareness among our guests.

Realising these investments allows us not only to improve the standard of our facilities, but also to act in the spirit of sustainable development and responsible tourism.
